A record number of Americans applied for British citizenship last year, with applications reaching an all-time high in the final quarter of 2024. This jump coincided with US President Donald Trump’s re-election.

Are you an American who moved to the UK and is now applying to become a UK citizen? The Guardian is keen to speak to individuals to ask why you made the move, what life is like now, and what impact, if any, Trump’s election has had on your decision making on getting British citizenship.
